The Instruct-ERIC 14th webinar in the series ‘Structure Meets Function’ will be hosted by Instruct Lithuania. The webinar speakers will discuss about the use of tethered phospholipid bilayer membranes to study protein membrane interactions and present work on the structural and molecular mechanisms of antiviral defense systems in bacteria and their use as molecular tools for targeted genome manipulation.
Talk 1: Biomembranes on a chip: tethered phospholipid bilayers for protein membrane interaction studies
Speaker: Dr Gintaras Valinčius
Talk 2: Bacterial immunity: from restriction enzymes to CRISPR
Speaker: Dr Virginijus Šikšnys
Moderator: Mindaugas Linkaitis, Vilnius University Life Sciences Center
