When Lithuania became a member of the ESA, new funding opportunities opened up. During this visit, guests will present the ESA funding opportunities, and most importantly, You will have the opportunity to present Your research to the officers.
From ESA will come:
- Michele Iapaolo – he is the Country Desk Officer (CDO) for Lithuania, and works in the Capability & Country Support Division. Their team is taking care of the implementation of specific national programmes in the “new ESA member states” (New Member States, Associate Members, Cooperating States) and – when allowed by the status of the Country – facilitating the participation to the ESA Optional Programmes. His personal background is on Earth Observation, and he is following quite a large number of activities (mainly downstream) in that field in many Countries.
- Jennifer Ngo-Anh - she is a team leader in the Directorate of Human and Robotic Exploration. She is responsible for coordinating ESA’s ground-based and space-based (e.g. International Space Station) science activities in the areas of human research, biology and physical sciences. Jennifer joined the Agency’s Life Sciences Unit in 2006. In 2012, she became head of the Life Sciences Unit, and since 2018 she have occupied the position of SciSpace team leader. Jennifer graduated from medical studies, but after that focused her research on neuroscience.
