Vilnius University Life Sciences Center (VU LSC) will host 21st conference "Laboratory Animals in Research" on 23rd of November (Room R401).
The conference is jointly organized by Baltic Laboratory Animals Science Association (Balt-LASA) and VU LSC. This event brings together experts from animal testing, animal biology, molecular biology, genetics, veterinary medicine and human medicine communities. The participants will find ample opportunities for discussing, networking and meeting both new and familiar colleagues.
The event will bring participants not only from Lithuania, but also from Poland and Latvia.
Balt-LASA is a member of The Federation of European Laboratory Animal Science Associations (FELASA). It has a membership of 21 independent European national and regional laboratory animal science associations. It can speak for laboratory animal scientists and technologists in at least 28 countries: Austria, Belgium, Croatia, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Iceland, Israel, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, The Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Russian Federation, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Turkey and the United Kingdom. Established in 1978, it has significantly grown over the 40 years and is recognized both at European and international levels. President of Balt-LASA dr. Daiva Baltriukienė will present FELASA during the conference.
Organizing committee consists of a group of researchers from VU LSC: Milda Alksnė, dr. Daiva Baltriukienė, dr. Virginija Bukelskienė, Miglė Kalvaitytė, Ieva Rinkūnaitė and Egidijus Šimoliūnas.
