The Council of the VU Life Sciences Center (VU LSC) has announced a public international competition for the post of Director of the VU LSC.
The VU LSC Electoral Commission is expecting applications and documents from candidates by 30 September 2024. More information about the competition can be found here.
The mission of the VU LSC is to create and develop the life sciences ecosystem at Vilnius University and in Lithuania, through internationally advanced and competitive science and studies, and by fostering new generations of scientists and innovators.
The Director will be responsible for developing, updating and implementing the VU LSC Strategic Action Plan, the growth of relations with research centers and industry, and the overall efficiency and quality of the curricula and research development. The Director is accountable and responsible to the Rector of Vilnius University and the VU LSC Council. The term of office of the Director of the VU LSC is 5 years.
The Director's position is open to a person of impeccable reputation, who holds a doctoral degree, has teaching and management experience and who has not yet reached the statutory retirement age on the first day of the Director's term of office.
The VU LSC Council meeting for the presentation of the applicants to the Council and the VU LSC community will be held on 22 November 2024.
