Preliminary Topic: Modeling Protein Thermodynamics with Gō-type Models

Short Description of the Internship Work: Protein thermodynamics is the main driving force behind protein folding. The theoretical background is well understood, yet it is impractical due to the massive computational resources required to investigate even small protein folding processes. Gō-type models offer an alternative approach and, despite their simplicity, provide substantial insight into the folding process. In practice, the student will become familiar with WSME models and be given the opportunity to further develop them for investigating protein folding thermodynamics.

Qualification Requirements (Degree): BSc MSc

Application Deadline: 2024-12-31

Additional Comments: The intern must have minimal Python skills and an interest in molecular modeling.
