Preliminary Topic :Inactivation of biofilms produced by opportunistic bacteria

Short Description of the Internship Work: Biofilms formed by opportunistic bacteria on the surfaces of medical equipment can lead to the spread of nosocomial infections. Bacterial biofilms are particularly resistant to antimicrobial agents. These studies will aim to explore the potential of new antibacterial treatment strategies directed against biofilms formed by opportunistic bacteria. Microbiological methods, photodynamic therapy and methods of working with cell cultures will be used during the practice.
