The first kick-off meeting of the PANERIS project took place at the Vilnius University Life Sciences Center (VU LSC). PANERIS is the Horizon WIDERA Pathways for Synergies project that aims to address issues like barriers to collaboration, funding gaps, undeveloped skills, and misaligned policies by ensuring wider access to European neuroscience infrastructure, aligning R&I strategies, policies, and funding programs across institutions, regions, and nations.
We are very pleased to announce the gathering of highly appreciated partners from Spain (The Fundació de Recerca Clínic Barcelona-Institut d’Investigacions Biomèdiques August Pi i Sunyer, FRCB-IDIBAPS), Portugal (Instituto de Medicina Molecular Joao Lobo Antunes, iMM) and Poland (Instytut Farmakologii im. Jerzego Maja Polskiej Akademii Nauk), which marks the beginning of joint discussions on project implementation and activities.
Hosted by the Vilnius University Life Sciences Center, the coordinating institution, this milestone event marks a pivotal moment in the journey towards fostering synergies across different research landscapes. Over the course of this meeting, participants were engaged in dynamic dialogues, sharing their expertise and strategies to maximise the impact of PANERIS. By working together, the partners aim to harness the potential of interdisciplinary collaboration to drive progress in research and innovation.

PANERIS project is funded under the HORIZON Europe call HORIZON-WIDERA-2023-ACCESS-04-01 - Pathways to Synergies, as a HORIZON Coordination and Support Action under the title “Pan-European Network for Neuroscience Research Infrastructure and Strengthening of Support capacities” (project no 101160180). The project duration is 24 months, with a start date of 1 May 2024 and an expected end date of 30 April 2026.
