The VU LSC has hosted the third meeting of the International Advisory Board.
The International Advisory Board is composed of Silke Schumacher, external expert at General research & innovation directorate, European Commission, former EMBL Director for International Relations (Germany), Prof. of Lund University Tommy Nylander (Sweden), Taina Pihlajaniemi, Vice-Rector for Scientific Affairs, University of Oulu (Finland), Barbara Mazur, Stategic Advisor, Pontifax Global Food and Agriculture Technology Fund (USA), Andres Metspalu, Professor, University of Tartu (Estonia), Heinrich Leonhard, Professor, Dean of the Faculty of Biology, Ludwig MaximilianUniversity of Munich (Germany), Chris Lowe, Professor, Director of the Academy for Therapeutic Sciences at Cambridge University of Technology (UK).
The International Advisory Board of the VU Life Sciences Centre is a group of world-renowned scientists whose guidance will help world-class research gain greater international recognition. It consists of seven members appointed for five-year terms. The Council was formed at the end of 2017.
