VU LSC OAC service provision procedure (for non-VU LSC employees / students):
- The Customer should fill in an application for OAC services. Application form.
- The filled in application must be sent by e-mail to .
- The OAC management team evaluates the application and makes a decision on the provision of services.
- The price of APC services is calculated in accordance with the rules adopted by VU Senate Resolution SPN-49: "Rules for Management and Provision of Open Access to Scientific Research and Experimental (Social, Cultural) Development Infrastructure Resources and Services at Vilnius University".
- The Customer is informed about the decision by e-mail within 3 working days.
- If a decision is made to provide the APC services, the terms of services are offered to the Customer.
- When the Customer agrees with the terms of services, the agreement on time schedule ought to be concluded.
- If the provision of services requires specific materials that need to be purchased and without which the service could not be provided, an advance payment for these materials may be asked.
- A written agreement ought to be signed with the Customer prior to granting access to AOC facilities.
- Occupational safety requirements must be observed when visiting or working at LSC. Occupational safety documents online
- Before starting work at the LSC, the Occupational Safety Instruction Card must be completed and signed. A copy of the card must be sent by e-mail or brought to VU LSC, 7 Saulėtekio Ave, Room C145.
- After providing / receiving the services, a service acceptance-transfer document is signed between AOC and the Customer.
- The Customer pays for the provided services according to the submitted invoice.
Acknowledgment
After receiving the services, customers are kindly asked to express their aknowledgment to VU LSC OAC in their articles published in scientific or popular science journals.
The thanks could sound like this: "The authors thank the Life Sciences Center of Vilnius University for the open access services provided for this research."
